My career started at 14 when my mom gifted me my very first camera.
At that point, I never thought that something so simple would lead to the position where I am today.
What began as a hyperfixation on photography quickly evolved into a passion for moving images, leading me to shoot music videos and social content with friends for fun.
Today, those DIY roots have grown into major productions. Operating under the artist name "vira", which is simply my real name Marvin rearranged, I am fully at home commanding sets powered by ARRI, RED, and Sony systems, but my core philosophy remains unchanged: every frame needs to tell a story.
My current work is heavily inspired by a liminal vibe, capturing spaces and moments that feel transitional, dreamlike, and deeply atmospheric. I love playing with high contrast, rich colors, and the tactile, nostalgic texture of analog film (a love born from years of film photography and shooting on 16mm).
Whether crafting a surreal visual world for a music video or bringing a bold, cinematic edge to a commercial campaign, I bring a collaborative spirit and a sharp visual eye to every set.
